Product Accuracy

Product photos & references

Upload up to three real product photos — the identity anchor that keeps every render faithful to what you actually sell.

Why this is the single highest-leverage step

Vermeer can render a beautiful shot of a product. To render your product — your label, your shape, your exact colors — it needs to see the real thing. That’s what product reference photos are for.

For each product, you upload up to three real photos. Vermeer uses them two ways:

  • As the identity anchor for every render — the source of truth for what your product looks like, so the rendered version matches the real one.
  • As the ground truth for the Accuracy Check — the reference each finished shot is judged against.

What to upload

Three angles beat three near-identical shots. Aim for:

  • A clean, well-lit front view that shows your label clearly.
  • A second angle (three-quarter or side) so the shape reads in 3D.
  • A detail or context shot if your product has a texture, finish, or feature worth preserving.

Clear, sharp, honest photos of the real product. The better the references, the more faithful every render.

How they’re used

Up to three reference images are sent with each shot as identity anchors. More references give Vermeer more to work from — especially for products with text-heavy labels or distinctive shapes, where a single angle can leave detail ambiguous.

The payoff

Once your references are in place, the Accuracy Check can do its job: every render gets compared back to these photos, and anything that drifts from your real product gets caught — and re-rendered — before you ever see it. References are what make that guarantee possible.
