Your first photoshoot
From a cold start to a finished set of on-brand shots — the whole flow, step by step.
Before you start
Two things make every shot better, and both are quick:
- Add your product photos. Upload up to three real photos of the product you want to feature. These are what Vermeer uses to keep the render faithful to what you actually sell — your label, your shape, your colors. (See Product photos & references.)
- Confirm your Brand Visual Style. Vermeer seeds a starting style from your Brand DNA. Glance at it, adjust if you like, and you’re set. (See Brand visual style.)
Neither is strictly required — Vermeer will render with sensible defaults — but a minute here pays off in every shot after.
Run a Sampler
The fastest way to see what Vermeer does for your brand is a Sampler: a 6-shot exploration. It’s the low-commitment way to get a feel for the look before you commit to a bigger set.
- Start a new photoshoot and choose the Sampler tier.
- Pick the product you want featured (if your brand has more than one).
- Start the shoot. Vermeer renders your six shots, each scored against your real product as it comes back.
Read what comes back
Each shot arrives with the look Vermeer composed from your brand. If the Accuracy Check is on for your brand, low-scoring shots are quietly re-rendered before they reach you — so the set you see is the set that passed the bar.
From here you can:
- Edit any shot with a sentence — see Art-director edit.
- Resize a shot to every channel format you need — see One shot, every channel.
- Download the shots you like.
Go bigger when you’re ready
Once the look is right, step up:
- A Photoshoot is a 12-shot collection in a single chosen type (Product, Lifestyle, Editorial, or Social-Native).
- A Bundle is the full 48-shot set — all four photoshoot types in one go.
- A Campaign composes everything around a specific goal and exports a channel-ready deliverable.
Most brands run a Sampler first, lock in their style, then live in Photoshoots and Campaigns.
